In the midst of City Bookkeepers’ success, the brothers expanded their practice in 1977 and included additional services. Thus, City Bookkeepers and Insurance Brokers was founded with a further addition of the Property Portfolio in 1980. This arm of the Group of Companies was headed up by the youngest of three brothers, Lallichand Sewpersad.
Under the guidance of the Sewpersad brothers, City Bookkeepers and Insurance Brokers quickly began developing. The purchase of prominent commercial buildings in the Central Business District of Port Shepstone led to the establishment of Trustprop Holdings and the group solidified their reach throughout KwaZulu-Natal.

Meera Sewpersad — attorney, conveyancer and notary public is involved in the daily legalities of the company and currently practices with Ronica Naidoo and Associates.
Ranjay Sewpursadh is an accountant and financial advisor who oversees the practice of Sewpersad and Sewpersad while working closely with Managing Director Sahil Sewpersad on the ever-expanding portfolio of City Asset Finance. This includes numerous commercial and industrial properties, with the group holding one of the largest clientele bases along the lower South Coast.
